Renew or Replace Your Alabama Driver License or ID

Alabama Driver Licenses and ID cards can be renewed or replaced online through ALEA or in person at a Baldwin County Probate Licensing Office.

⭐ Have you added the STAR ID designation?

Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need a STAR ID or another acceptable form of identification (such as a valid U.S. passport) to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities.

• Go to ALEA Appointment Services.
• Select "My Card" (under the main image on the page).
• Choose "Renew or Duplicate My Card".
• Enter your information to verify your identity.
• Print a temporary copy until your permanent card arrives by mail.
