If you are 60 or older, living in Baldwin County, an attorney is available, by appointment, to address any questions you may have regarding a living will, durable power of attorney, medical directives, or general legal questions on aging. This program assists Baldwin County Residents in applying for prescription assistance through the pharmaceutical companies. To qualify, you must, be 55 or older, any age on disability or applying for disability, without drug coverage or in the Medicare Part D GAP and have a chronic illness that requires daily medication and meet income qualifications. Hurricane Reassurance - Helps seniors that will be staying home or evacuating to a shelter in the event of a hurricane. Emphasis is placed on the importance of having an evacuation plan, preparation, providing information pre and post hurricane. Seniors will be contacted at the beginning of Hurricane Season to review their information and plan should a hurricane threaten our County.

Provides crucial medical information to first responders entering your home. A Vial of Life decal is placed on the front door of your home indicating you have medical information available. A second decal is placed on your refrigerator door in a ziploc bag. The Council on Aging can provide these decals and assist in completing the medical information form.

This program, offered by the Council on Aging, provides twice‑monthly visits to homebound seniors who live alone. During each hour‑long visit, a staff member offers social interaction.
